Dallas Cowboys Having Contract Talks With Osa Odighizuwa Ahead of Free Agency

In this story:
CINCINNATI — The Dallas Cowboys have started contract negotiations with Osa Odighizuwa.
The 26-year-old is considered one of the top players in this year's free agent class. He had a career-high 4.5 sacks and 23 quarterback hits for the Cowboys last season.
“We have had negotiations with Osa,‘’ Jones told David Moore of the Dallas Morning News. “I just think Osa is a really good football player. He’s an important piece.‘’
Moore is also reporting that the Cowboys aren't expected to use the franchise tag on the ascending defensive tackle.

Odighizuwa is an ideal target for the Bengals in free agency. They desperately need to bolster their interior pass rush.
The Cowboys picked Odighizuwa in the third round (75th overall) in the 2021 NFL Draft. He's considered the top defensive tackle in this year's free agent class alongside Milton Williams.
Odighizuwa posted a photo with his agent Salameh Ireifej on Monday.
“Glad to have you in my corner bro!!!” he wrote on Instagram.
It's reasonable to expect Ireifej to meet with the Dallas Cowboys and gauge Odighizuwa's value around the league during the 2025 NFL Combine this week in Indianapolis.
He's projected to sign a three-year, $63 million contract according to Pro Football Focus. For our entire breakdown of Odighizuwa's possible fit with the Bengals, go here.
