Philadelphia Eagles Called ‘Longest Shot’ in Possible Trade for Bengals Star Trey Hendrickson

In this story:
CINCINNATI — The Bengals are still in limbo with Trey Hendrickson and his contract situation. One team that could possibly make a run at trading for him is the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Mike Greger of Philly Sports Network noted the possibility in a recent article.
"This is the longest shot since Michael Jordan vs. Larry Bird," Greger wrote. "Hendrickson’s dominance isn’t up for debate. He has 35 sacks over the past two seasons. However, he’s looking for at least $63 million over two years — that’s way out of the Eagles’ price range considering their salary-cap space right now. Still, never count them out from entering any sweepstakes, especially not when there is smoke in the air."
There has not been a new deal for Hendrickson since Cincinnati inked his star teammates, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, to new contracts last month.
Over that time, Hendrickson has noted the Bengals' "poor" communication with him and his representation. The Eagles have 20 draft picks to utilize in the next two years.
There have been no recent reports of Cincinnati wanting to trade the star edge rusher, but if they do—they'll get the most immediate value for him by doing it before Round One on April 24.
