Richarlison Criticizes Tottenham Manager Antonio Conte Over Lack Of Game Time In "S**t" Season

Richarlison criticized Tottenham manager Antonio Conte for not starting him in Wednesday's 0-0 draw against AC Milan.

The Brazilian came on as a 70th-minute substitute but was unable to prevent Spurs from falling to a 1-0 aggregate defeat in the Champions League round of 16.

Richarlison had started in Tottenham's previous two home matches as they recorded 2-0 wins over West Ham and Chelsea in the Premier League.

He also played 65 minutes in his team's 1-0 defeat at Sheffield United in the FA Cup.

But he only featured for just over five minutes as Spurs lost 1-0 to Wolves at the weekend, before being benched again for the Milan match.

"I should have played," Richarlison told Brazilian TV station TNT Sports after Milan knocked Spurs out of the Champions League.

"I played five minutes against Wolves, asked the reason and no one told me why. Yesterday, they asked me to take a fitness test in the gym and told me I was going to start today if I passed it.

"And today I was on the bench. There are things I can't understand. There was no explanation again, let's see what he will tell us tomorrow.

"I'm not silly, I'm a professional who works hard every day and I want to play. I need more minutes.

"This season has been s**t, sorry for the word. Why do I not get more minutes?"

Richarlison joined Spurs from Everton for a transfer fee in the region of £60 million in July.

He has started 12 games for Tottenham to date and made a further 13 appearances as a sub.

The 25-year-old has scored just two goals for his current club. Both came in a 2-0 win over Marseille in September.
