Inter Miami Sign Another Barcelona Legend As Sergio Busquets Joins Lionel Messi In MLS

Major League Soccer's Inter Miami have announced the signing of Sergio Busquets on a free transfer from Barcelona.

Busquets leaves the Camp Nou as a Barcelona legend, having made 722 appearances for the club.

The 34-year-old midfielder won 32 trophies with Barca, including nine La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions Leagues.

He will join another Barca legend in Miami, after Lionel Messi also agreed to move to Fort Lauderdale this summer.

Busquets and Messi played together at Barca for 13 years between 2008 and 2021.

Both players were wanted by Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal but decided instead on a move to Miami.

Their Miami debuts are likely to take place in early July.

Busquets and Messi will join a team that have struggled to compete in MLS this season.

After losing 12 of their first 17 games, Miami sit dead last in the Eastern Conference.
