In this story:

Austin Wynns became just the fifth Cincinnati Reds player since 1900 to record nine or more hits in any two-game span.

"I am not going to lie, that's pretty incredible," Wynns told Jim Day postgame. "I had no idea, but that's pretty cool. Cool stat for sure."

Wynns had six hits on Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles when the Reds scored 24 runs and he added three more hits, including a home run in Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

"Hey man, I am just going in with a good game plan," Wynns said. "Talking with the hitting coaches, sticking with it and having a pro at-bat. Just putting the barrel on the ball."

The Reds catcher is hitting .500 with a 1.421 OPS.
