Zac Taylor Provides Latest Update On Trey Hendrickson's Negotiations With Bengals

CINCINNATI — Zac Taylor is representing the Bengals at the NFL Annual Meeting this week and gave the latest update on Trey Hendrickson in his media appearance.
Reports indicate Hendrickson is looking for a deal over $30 million per year. The 30-year-old edge rusher is slated to make $16 million this fall in the final year of his extension with Cincinnati signed in 2023.
"I think he's one of the premier pass rushers in this league," Taylor said on Monday. "Teams have to throw a lot of attention to him as they start their game plan each week, a guy who works his tail off, day in and day out, 365 days a year, which I appreciate. So we'll continue to work through the process with Trey."
Cincinnati has signed two of its three big stars up for new deals this offseason, and now Hendrickson awaits his moment to join Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase in the long-term deal pool.
Taylor also said "be patient" when asked about Hendrickson's status. It's worth noting that we wrote about this process 10 days ago with the idea that it could take some time.
