Watch Lionel Messi Claim His First Inter Miami Assist

Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi was on fire on Tuesday night.

After scoring two goals in the first 22 minutes of his side's Leagues Cup game against Atlanta United, he registered his first assist for Miami early in the second half.

With Atlanta overcommitted in attack following a corner kick, Messi charged through the center of the field before playing a perfectly-weighted pass into the path of Robert Taylor, who drilled a low left-footed shot past former EPL keeper Brad Guzan.

This was Taylor's second goal of the game, after the Finland international had netted Miami's third with a stunning volley.

Miami won 4-0 - their biggest victory since October 2021 when they beat Cincinnati 5-1.
