Bengals Officially Exercise Dax Hill's Fifth-Year Option, Zac Taylor Reacts to Move

CINCINNATI — The Bengals officially exercised Dax Hill's fifth-year option on Wednesday morning.
The 24-year-old was entering the final year of his contract. Now he's under contract through the 2026 season.
“I’m really excited about Dax’s future,” head coach Zac Taylor said in a statement. “We see an ascending player who attacks each day the right way. I can’t wait to see him back on the field making plays for us this season.”
The Bengals selected Hill in the first round (31st overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft. He spent his first two seasons at safety, before the Bengals moved him to cornerback last year. He quickly established himself as their top corner, but suffered a torn ACL after five games.
Hill has 151 tackles (seven for loss) 13 passes defensed, seven quarterback hits, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions in 37 career games. He's scheduled to make $12.7 million in 2026.
