CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has received plenty of praise over the past few years.
Fans few him as a savior. The front office, coaching staff and others within the organization believe Burrow will help bring a Lombardi Trophy to Cincinnati.
That praise continued during Boomer Esiason's recent conversation with Dan Hoard and Dave Lapham on the Bengals Booth Podcast.
"I know one thing, he's a better player than I ever was already. I can see it," Esiason said. "He's a much more accurate passer than I was, but he's also fearless. He's not afraid to throw the ball down the field, which in today's game is gonna be valuable for them to move forward and be successful. He'll be in the running for Comeback Player of the Year I believe."
Esiason isn't the only Bengals legend that has praised Burrow. Ken Anderson believes the second-year signal-caller is going to be the best quarterback in team history.
"He's probably a little bit better [than me]. I think he's going to be the best quarterback in Bengals history," Anderson said last month.
Expectations are high for Burrow. He probably wouldn't want it any other way.
