Joe Burrow Projected to Set Bengals' Single-Season Record for Passing Yards in 2021
CINCINNATI — Expectations are sky-high for Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow this season.
The 24-year-old is still recovering from a torn left ACL and MCL, but he's projected to set the Bengals' record for most passing yards in a season according to Pro Football Focus.
They believe Burrow will throw for 4,538 yards in 2021, which would be the most [by far] in team history.
Andy Dalton holds the top two spots. He threw for 4,293 yards in 2013 and 4,206 yards in 2016.
Burrow was on pace to throw for 4,300 yards last season before he went down in Week 11 against Washington. There's no reason why he can't have an even bigger season with a trio like Ja'Marr Chase, Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins at wide receiver.
A 17th regular season game will also help Burrow's chances of setting a record or two this season. He's progressing well from his injury and is expected to be cleared for the start of the regular season.
