Former Manchester United Star Tips Mason Mount To "Blossom" At Old Trafford
Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke thinks that Mason Mount will "blossom" at Old Trafford.
Mount, 24, moved to United from Premier League rivals Chelsea earlier this week for a transfer fee of £60 million.
He made 195 senior appearances for the Stamford Bridge club and was named Chelsea Player of the Year twice.
Now Yorke expects Mount to become a key player under United manager Erik ten Hag.
Speaking to FanNation Futbol, Yorke said: "I think Mason Mount will be in Erik ten Hag's starting XI, I rate the kid, he has something about him and I've always been an admirer.
"Mount is coming into an age where consistency needs to be added to his game. Mount brings that English mentality and understands the Premier League.
"He's been at a very big club and now has moved to an even bigger one. Chelsea is not a hiding place, but at Man United, there will be more exposure. I have a funny feeling Mount will blossom."
Mount will wear the no.7 jersey for his new club, following in the footsteps of club legends Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Bryan Robson and George Best.

United finished third in the Premier League last season but Yorke thinks that second should be the target for the 2023/24 campaign.
Yorke, who won three EPL titles in four seasons at United between 1998 and 2002, added: "Ideally, Man United should aim for second place in the Premier League next season, they have to cement that spot and authority. We need to get away from the mindset of finishing anywhere lower.
"For the last few years, there's been no real intention to win the league and we aimed for top four instead. It doesn't make a difference to finish second but it will improve your mindset.
"Man City are the benchmark at the moment. If we finish above Man City then we will win the league. I don't like saying we need to aim for second, but it will give Man United more belief to go on and win more."
Yorke was speaking to FanNation Futbol on behalf of BoyleSports, whose latest Premier League odds make United fourth favorites to be English champions next season, behind Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
