After Previously Turning Down 'Quarterback,' Joe Burrow Will Star in Popular Netflix Show

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is set to star in season two of Netflix's popular show "Quarterback."
The series will focus on the 2024 campaign. Burrow was coming back from a serious wrist injury and led Cincinnati to a 9-8 record.
The 2024 season was filled with highs and lows for Burrow. He completed 70.6% of his passes for an NFL leading 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns. He won the Comeback Player of the Year Award for a second time.
The Bengals also missed the playoffs for the first time with him finishing the season healthy. The two other seasons ended with AFC Championship Game appearances.
Burrow was asked to do the show in 2023, but declined.
"Maybe one year. This year I am not. We’ll see. I would like to do it maybe a couple years down the road but I don’t think now is the right time," Burrow said on July 26, 2023. "If you guys know anything about me, you know media is not exactly my favorite thing to do. The process of doing that show is very intense. There's a lot of time that you have to put into that, time that I'm not ready to give right now.
"Everybody knows that I'm a very private person, especially in my personal life, so that's a window into a personal life that I'm not quite ready to share yet."
Burrow clearly had a change of heart a year later. He'll be on the show with Jared Goff and Kirk Cousins.
The show should give a unique look at Burrow's recovery from wrist surgery, another slow start for the Bengals, the frustrations that came with the 2024 season and the strong finish that the team made, falling one game short of the postseason.
