CINCINNATI — San Francisco 49ers defensive end Jordan Willis has been suspended for the first six games of the 2021 NFL season according to ESPN's Field Yates.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that Willis violated the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances.
The 26-year-old spent the first two seasons of his career in Cincinnati after the Bengals selected him in the third-round (73rd overall) in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Cincinnati released Willis on Sept. 10, 2019. The Kansas State product signed with the Jets later that year and appeared in 11 games over two seasons. New York traded him to San Francisco in October.
Willis appeared in seven games for the 49ers last season, finishing with 13 tackles and five quarterback hits.
