Bengals Make Huge Leap in Power Rankings Following Big Win Over Ravens
CINCINNATI — The Bengals put the league on notice when the beat the Ravens 41-17 on Sunday in Baltimore.
Not only did they move into first place in the AFC North, but they're also the No. 1 seed in the conference after seven weeks.
The convincing win helped them make a big leap in Sports Illustrated's power rankings. They were 15th last week, but moved all the way up to No. 8 this week.
"Okay, Cincinnati. You have our attention. Beating the Ravens by almost 30 points, while watching Joe Burrow carve up a beautifully schemed defense by air mailing passes to his first-round wide receiver opened our eyes," Conor Orr wrote. "The Jets and vulnerable Browns are next before the bye week, which means life for Bengals fans gets interesting for the first time since the Ochocinco era."
The Cardinals, Buccaneers, Rams, Packers, Bills, Ravens and Cowboys are ranked ahead of the Bengals.
