Expect The Unexpected: Insider Shares Detail That Could Lead to Surprising 2025 NFL Draft

In this story:
CINCINNATI — The 2025 NFL Draft is almost here. All 32 teams are hoping to make their respective teams better.
The Bengals have the No. 17 pick on Thursday night. The league appears split on a lot of players outside of the blue chip guys like Abdul Carter, Travis Hinter and Ashton Jeanty.
NFL insider Daniel Jeremiah says teams have much different rankings and there isn't much consensus in this year's draft.
"This draft is all about fit. That’s what every team keeps telling me," Jeremiah tweeted. "Rankings on these players are all over the map. Teams don’t seem concerned. They like their pods of players and don’t really care if there’s perception of a reach."
What does it mean? Well, expect the unexpected.
There are surprises in every draft, but there may be even more on Thursday night.
That could be good for the Bengals. Maybe they get a trade down opportunity that they can't refuse and still get the player they're targeting at 17 overall.
Maybe a top player on their board falls to them that they never expected to be there.
Expect the unexpected.
