CINCINNATI — When the Bengals signed Mike Hilton this spring, they were hoping he could bring toughness, physicality and playmaking ability to their defense.
He's help up his end of the bargain up to this point. Part of the reason Hilton decided to come to Cincinnati, outside of a four-year, $24 million contract, was the opportunity to play with Joe Burrow.
"Once they brought in Joe (Burrow) to be the franchise guy, he showed me what he’s capable of," Hilton said in March. "That definitely attracted me here."
Much like Hilton, it sounds like Burrow is holding up his end of the bargain.
The 24-year-old has impressed his new teammate in practice as he continues to recovery from a torn ACL and MCL. In fact, Hilton believes Burrow will be the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year this season.
"Joey B," he tweeted in response to the question, which was posed by the Good Morning Football show on NFL Network.
