CINCINNATI — The Bengals added another local partnership this week, partnering with Miami (OH) University to be the official university of the Cincinnati Bengals.
The team announced the partnership on Wednesday. Miami students will get exclusive access to the team, ranging from internships and job shadowing to on-campus speakers and other opportunities through the new deal.
“This partnership is an excellent way to honor the legacy of Paul Brown, a legacy that has united the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami University for years,” Miami President Gregory Crawford said in a press release. “We are extremely excited for Miami students to benefit from this unique relationship and for them to add value to a first-rate NFL organization like the Bengals.”
The school is also getting its imagery featured on the team website and throughout Paycor Stadium moving forward.
“We are pleased to welcome Miami University, a top educational institution in the nation, as a valued Bengals partner,” said Bengals Chief Partnership Officer Lacy Ekert. “We look forward to building on our authentic history by making an impact through opportunities and insight for students.”
A fresh relationship that adds more resources to the Bengals' annual revenue coffers. The exact monetary details of the parternship weren't announced but every bit helps when trying to field a championship-caliber team around a highly-paid quarterback.
The Bengals founder, Paul Brown, graduated from Miami in 1930.
