Ousmane Dembele Directly Involved In All Four Goals As Barcelona Batter Athletic Bilbao

Ousmane Dembele produced one of the best performances of his career to help Barcelona to a 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao at the Camp Nou on Sunday.

Dembele opened the scoring himself on 12 minutes and later provided a hat-trick of assists.

He set up goals for Sergi Roberto, Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres as Barcelona became the joint-top scorers in La Liga this season.

Barca and title rivals Real Madrid have both scored 28 goals in 11 games.

But Real, who beat Sevilla 3-1 on Saturday, sit three points above Barca, having won the season's first Clasico earlier this month.

Dembele is now the top player in La Liga in terms of assists this season, with five.

He has provided 16 assists in La Liga in 2022.

The only player across Europe's top five leagues with more assists this year is Lionel Messi, who has set up 19 goals for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.

Dembele is the fifth player to register three assists in one La Liga game during the past three years, emulating the likes of Messi and Luka Modric.
