Jadon Sancho Reactivates Instagram Account Ahead of £3.4m Return To Dortmund On Loan

Jadon Sancho reactivated his Instagram account this week ahead of a move that he hopes will restart his stuttering career.

Manchester United winger Sancho is set to return to former club Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has not played for United since August and he was completely frozen out of the first-team in September after publicly accusing manager Erik ten Hag of lying.

After a 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on September 3, Ten Hag told reporters that Sancho had not been selected because he had failed to meet the standards required in training.

Sancho then said on social media that Ten Hag's claim had been "completely untrue".

Later in September, Sancho deactivated his Instagram account but it is now back online.

Sancho's account currently shows zero posts but his profile picture has been changed to display a photo of his feet dressed in Dortmund socks.

United paid Dortmund an initial fee of £73 million to sign Sancho in 2021.

According to The Guardian, Dortmund will pay United just €4m (£3.4m) to take him back for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.

That €4m is said to comprise of a loan fee and partial coverage of Sancho's salary.

The deal does not include an option for Dortmund to sign Sancho permanently.

However, it is understood that United may be keen to sell him later this year, especially if Ten Hag remains in charge beyond the end of the season.
