Ruben Loftus-Cheek Leaves Chelsea After 19 Years To Join AC Milan In £15m Move

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has moved to Italian club AC Milan from Chelsea.

The 27-year-old has signed a contract until June 2027.

According to The Athletic, Milan will pay Chelsea £15 million plus add-ons.

Chelsea have now raked in almost £140m in transfer fees this summer, having also sold Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy and Kai Havertz since the end of last season.

Loftus-Cheek joined Chelsea aged eight and enjoyed a superb youth career with the London club before making his senior debut in the 2014/15 season.

The midfielder, who has been capped 10 times by England, went on to make 155 first-team appearances for the Blues, scoring 13 goals.

Chelsea's official Twitter account published a message for Loftus-Cheek on Friday. It read: "19 years, countless memories. Good luck in your new challenge, @RLC."

The message was accompanied by two photos - one of Loftus-Cheek lifting the FA Youth Cup and one of him holding the Premier League trophy.

Loftus-Cheek will link up with two former Chelsea teammates at the San Siro.

Fellow England international Fikayo Tomori and France striker Olivier Giroud both moved from Stamford Bridge to Milan in 2021.

Milan finished fourth in Serie A last season.
