CINCINNATI — There's been plenty of debate about the Bengals' fifth pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Some believe Oregon tackle Penei Sewell makes the most sense, while others think LSU wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase would be the better selection.
Former NFL general manager Mike Tannenbaum has been one the most outspoken members of "Team Sewell." He doesn't understand why so many people think Chase is a better fit.
"If the Cincinnati Bengals don't draft an offensive tackle, they should be disbanded and revoked from the NFL," Tannenbaum said earlier this week on ESPN. "Last year Joe Burrow threw the ball 450 times. Unacceptable. They cannot go out on the field this year unless they draft offensive tackle Penei Sewell with the fifth pick. I don't care if it's the U.S. Olympic Track Team out there. Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, if they trade for him—I don't care. They gotta keep this guy (Burrow) upright and healthy... It bothers me when people say 'just get him another weapon.' How many games will he play this year? He played 10 [games] last year. Do you want him playing six or four?"

Being on 'Team Sewell' is one thing, but Tannenbaum went too far. I react to his foolish comments in the video at the top of this page.
