Frank Lampard Promotes 14-Year-Old Chelsea Youth Star To First-Team Training

Fourteen-year-old Charlie Holland trained with the Chelsea first team this week.

Holland recently captained Chelsea's U14 side to a 5-0 win over Fulham in the Albert Phelan Cup South final.

Impressed by his performances at junior level, Frank Lampard promoted Holland to a senior training session on Thursday.

The teenager was pictured alongside the likes of Joao Felix, Thiago Silva, Conor Gallagher and Raheem Sterling as Lampard put his players through their paces ahead of Saturday's Premier League game against Nottingham Forest.

Holland would be the youngest player in EPL history if he were to feature against Forest at the weekend, but that is not expected to happen.

Lampard often incorporates players from Chelsea's U21s and U18s in his first-team sessions to boost numbers and to provide valuable experience.

But the U21s have finished their season already, while the U18s are currently away in Germany.
