Sergio Ramos Tells Harry Kane: "Don't Turn Down" Real Madrid

Sergio Ramos has advised Harry Kane to sign for Real Madrid if he gets the opportunity this summer.

Kane has 12 months left on his contract with Tottenham Hotspur but both Real and Manchester United are keen to get him sooner rather than later.

It is understood that Kane would prefer to stay in England for multiple reasons.

Firstly, the 29-year-old, who will be 30 next month, only needs another 48 Premier League goals to break the competition's all-time scoring record.

Another factor is that Kane is apparently hesitant about uprooting his wife and three young children to another country.

But Ramos thinks that a move to Madrid could be great for Kane.

Ramos, who spent 16 years at Real between 2005 and 2021, believes that Kane would also be a great fit for his former club.

As quoted by The Mirror, Ramos said this week: "My advice to any player is don't turn down the opportunity to play for Real Madrid - it is a special club who know how to win."

On Kane, Ramos added: "He has an incredible physical presence - you can't score as many goals as he does in the Premier League and not be able to play the physical side of the game.

"But also he can play the technical side of the game as well and I don't think he gets enough credit for that. Yes he is a great goal scorer but also he is a great football player as well."

Real want Kane to replace Karim Benzema, who is set to move to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia on a free transfer.

Ramos said of Benzema: "He has contributed to so much success with Real Madrid you will never be able to replace him - he is one of those players who is unique in the history of Madrid.

"What you do need to do though is bring in a quality forward who can come in and score goals. Not everybody can play for Real Madrid as there is so much pressure and expectation - so it needs to be the right player."
