Calgary Stampeders Re-Sign WR Tyson Middlemost, LB Cameron Judge
The Calgary Stampeders started the week by re-signing two of their players, as wide receiver Tyson Middlemost and linebacker Cameron Judge agreed to return to the team.
Middlemost has spent three seasons with the Stampeders as he was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 CFL Draft. He has played in 41 games, mostly on special teams, as well as receiver. The Dundas, Ontario native has made 20 special teams tackles, one forced fumble and an onside kick recovery. He also has five receptions for 44 yards in his career.
The 25-year-old receiver went to college at McMaster. In his four seasons there, Middlemost caught 83 passes for 1,032 yards and seven touchdowns in 26 games.
Judge joined Calgary in 2022 in a trade with Toronto during the offseason. The 29-year-old linebacker has played in 17 games each of the last two seasons, putting up 175 total tackles, seven sacks, seven interceptions, four forced fumbles and one touchdown. Judge was named CFL West and CFL All-Star in 2022.
He previously played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Toronto Argonauts from 2017-21. His career numbers include 283 defensive tackles, 14 sacks, six forced fumbles and nine interceptions in 82 games. The Roughriders selected Judge with the second overall pick in the 2017 CFL Draft.
Calgary also extended wide receiver Reggie Begelton last week.
The CFL free agency signing period begins Feb. 13.
