Chelsea Prepared To Accept £38m Loss On Christian Pulisic

Chelsea are reportedly willing to sell Christian Pulisic this summer for significantly less than they paid for him.

Pulisic arrived at Stamford Bridge from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 for a transfer fee of £58 million.

The 24-year-old USMNT star has since scored 26 goals in 145 appearances for the Blues.

But he is likely to leave London in the coming months, with Juventus said to be leading the race for his signature.

Christian Pulisic's four-year spell at Chelsea is expected to come to an end this summer

Pulisic has just 13 months remaining on his current contract and, according to ESPN, Chelsea would be prepared to let him go for a modest fee of £20m.

While that would represent a loss of £38m based on transfer fees alone, removing Pulisic from the wage bill would give Chelsea more room for maneuver in the summer window.

Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will officially take over as Chelsea manager on July 1.

But it is understood that Pochettino has already had conversations with club chiefs regarding which players he wishes to keep and which he would like to leave.
