53 Men: OT Matt Kaskey Player Profile
OT Matt Kaskey
Height: 6'7"
Weight: 325 lbs
College: Dartmouth
NFL stats: N/A
Depth Chart Projection: Backup/depth OL
Taylor Moton and Russell Okung will lock down the starting spots at tackle and outside of Greg Little, there's no other tackles I have projected to make the roster, so Kaskey will likely be the third option. Little can swing to the right side if Moton were to go down.
Analysis:
There's not much to be said on Kaskey other than he's unproven, not fully developed, and is only going to see action in emergency situations. That's not to take away from Kaskey's potential as an offensive tackle, it's just the cold hard truth of where he's at. He's got some tools to work with and if offensive line coach Pat Meyer can help improve his pass protection, he'll have a better chance of seeing the field down the road.
53-Man Roster Status: On the bubble
Matt Rhule recently talked about having nine offensive lineman vs 10. I had eight making the roster, so I'm going out on a hunch here and saying Kaskey is the final guy to make the cut. With that said, I'm by no way sure that this will come to fruition.
