Harry Kane Officially Unveiled By Bayern Munich After Completing Bundesliga Record Transfer From Tottenham

England captain Harry Kane was officially unveiled as a Bayern Munich player on Saturday morning.

The 30-year-old was pictured wearing Bayern's new home kit after flying from London to Munich to complete a medical on Friday.

Kane has signed a four-year contract with the Bundesliga club.

Earlier in the week it was reported by Sky Sports that Spurs had accepted an offer from Bayern for an initial £86 million, with add-ons taking the overall value of the deal close to £100m.

Kane is now the most expensive player in the history of Germany's Bundesliga.

The record was previously held by France defender Lucas Hernandez, who cost Bayern €80m (£69m) when he joined from Atletico Madrid in 2019.

Kane is Tottenham's all-time leading scorer, having netted 280 goals in 435 senior appearances.

Kane left Tottenham Hotspur as the club's all-time top goalscorer

He is currently second on the list of leading scorers in Premier League history, just 47 goals behind record-holder Alan Shearer.

But Kane has yet to win a major trophy, despite playing in four major finals for club and country.

It will be a big surprise if Kane does not win silverware with Bayern though.

Bayern have been champions of Germany in each of the last 11 seasons.

Kane will wear the no.9 jersey at the Allianz Arena.

"I'm very happy to be a part of FC Bayern now," Kane told FCBayern.com.

"Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I've always said that I want to compete and prove myself at the highest level during my career.

"This club is defined by its winning mentality - it feels very good to be here."

Kane had earlier shared a video message on social media in which he told Spurs fans: "It's not a goodbye because you never know how things pan out in the future, but it's a thank you and I will see you soon."
