Bukayo Saka Shines Against Sevilla As Arsenal End Losing Streak
Arsenal bounced back from recent losses to West Ham and Newcastle by producing a dominant display to beat Sevilla 2-0 on Wednesday.
Bukayo Saka set up Leandro Trossard for Arsenal's first goal before scoring the second himself at the Emirates Stadium.
Wednesday's win saw the Gunners take control of UEFA Champions League Group B.
Mikel Arteta's side now have nine points from four games. Sevilla sit bottom of the group with two points, while PSG Eindhoven and Lens have five each.
Sevilla caused Arsenal very few problems and only had one shot in the entire match, while the home side recorded 11 attempts at goal.
Highlights: Arsenal 2-0 Sevilla
Speaking after the game, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice told TNT Sports: "After the upset in the cup and on the weekend, a club like Arsenal can't be losing three games in a row. The manager made that clear."
Discussing Sevilla's defensive tactics, Rice said: "Sometimes when you're playing against a back five it's hard to break down but we kept persisting.
"I've just been taking it game by game. I don't want to be boring but every time I put the shirt on I try to start well. I want to do the best I can for the team. There's more I can still add. But it's been a good start. I'm excited for what's to come."
Arsenal's two remaining group games in the Champions League will be against Lens at home and then away to PSV.
Rice added: "Our next game here is at home. We're close to the knockout stages and once you get there it all starts again. That's how you push on and stay focused.
"We love it. You see how passionate Mikel Arteta is. He's living the game through us. He's so energetic. It really fires us up for the game."
