Ruben Loftus-Cheek Hails Christian Pulisic As "Great Addition" For AC Milan

Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be joined at AC Milan by former Chelsea teammate Christian Pulisic later this week.

English midfielder Loftus-Cheek made the move from Stamford Bridge to the San Siro last month for a transfer fee of £15 million plus add-ons.

He faced the Italian media for the first time as a Milan player on Tuesday.

Loftus-Cheek spoke in English during Tuesday's press conference and revealed that another ex-Chelsea teammate, Fikayo Tomori, has been translating for him during recent training sessions.

But he said that he was determined to learn the local language and added: "Hopefully in a few months I'll be able to do these press conferences in Italian."

He was also asked about Milan's imminent move for USMNT star Pulisic.

Players and managers are often reluctant to comment on transfers until they have been officially announced. But Loftus-Cheek was happy to talk about Pulisic and seemed to confirm that he will be following him to Milan.

"I think he arrives tomorrow," said Loftus-Cheek. "I've been speaking to him and telling him to do his best to come here because he is a top player and a great addition to the squad."

According to BBC Sport, Pulisic is close to joining Milan for a transfer fee of £20m.

Chelsea paid Borussia Dortmund more than £57m for Pulisic in 2019.
