CFL Grey Cup's Dick Suderman Trophy Winners

The CFL's Grey Cup annually recognizes the best Canadian-born player in the game with the Dick Suderman Trophy.

The Canadian Football League awards the Dick Suderman Trophy to the Most Valuable Canadian player in the Grey Cup, the championship game of the CFL.

The CFL didn’t begin presenting the award until 1972. That year, the trophy’s namesake was given the award as the top Canadian-born player in the Grey Cup, as Suderman played defensive end for the Calgary Stampeders.

The award is named for him because he passed away the following year due to a brain hemorrhage suffered after a regular-season game. The CFL named the trophy in his honor.

The award was not presented in 2020 as there was no CFL season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here is a list of the winners of the Dick Suderman Trophy.
