Harry Kane And David Beckham Lead Tributes To Tom Brady After NFL Legend Retires "For Good"

Tom Brady has been inundated with positive messages after announcing his retirement from the NFL after 23 seasons.

Brady had originally announced his retirement 12 months earlier before reversing his decision and playing on for one more year.

But the 45-year-old quarterback, who won the Super Bowl seven times, said in a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday that he was "retiring for good" this time.

Brady is not only regarded as a legend in the world of American Football. He is also highly admired by athletes and fans from other sports.

Many players from the world of soccer took to social media to message Brady shortly after news of his retirement broke.

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea both liked Brady's Instagram post.

Meanwhile, former England captain David Beckham replied to Brady: "We love you man".

Current Three Lions skipper Harry Kane sent Brady a message via Twitter to congratulate him on an "amazing career".

Kane included the goat emoji in his post, which ended: "See you on the golf course soon."

The Tottenham striker later spoke to NFL UK and said: "An incredible career. The greatest of all time in my opinion.

"Always looking to improve, always looking to get better. His hard work, his determination, his consistency just resonates with all different people.

"It will be sad to see him stop but, yeah, truly one of a kind."
