Cody Gakpo Scores Another Carabao Cup Goal As Liverpool Come From Behind To Beat Fulham

Liverpool came from behind to beat Fulham 2-1 in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final at Anfield on Wednesday.

Willian nutmegged Virgil van Dijk with a low shot from seven yards to fire Fulham ahead in the 19th minute.

But Liverpool equalized midway through the second half thanks to a deflected strike by Curtis Jones from outside of the penalty area.

Liverpool then completed the turnaround in the 71st minute when Cody Gakpo got on the end of a cross from Darwin Nunez.

Gakpo has now scored for Liverpool in all four of his EFL Cup appearances.

Liverpool will travel to Fulham's Craven Cottage for the second leg on January 24.

Elsewhere, Middlesbrough lead Chelsea 1-0 after the first leg of the other semi-final.

This season's EFL Cup final will take place at Wembley Stadium on February 25.
