Erling Haaland scored five goals as Manchester City won 6-2 at Luton Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

Haaland hit a first-half hat-trick as City stormed into a 3-0 lead.

Jordan Clark then bagged a spectacular brace as Luton threatened to stage an unlikely comeback before Haaland struck twice more.

Haaland was substituted off in the 77th minute, shortly after Mateo Kovacic had completed the scoring.

Haaland's first four goals on Tuesday were all assisted by Kevin De Bruyne.

This was the second five-goal haul of Haaland's senior career. His first came in last season's UEFA Champions League when City beat RB Leipzig 7-0.

Haaland once scored NINE goals in a single game. It came in May 2019 when, aged 18, his triple hat-trick helped Norway beat Honduras 12-0 in the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

City have now reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in six consecutive seasons.

The four remaining games in the fifth round will take place on Wednesday.
