Borussia Dortmund will reportedly seek a fee in the region of €150 million for Erling Haaland in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to the latest information from Germany.
The Norwegian forward is undoubtedly one of the most in-demand players in world football at present, given his staggering goalscoring record since signing for Dortmund just over a year ago.
Since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg, Haaland has scored 47 goals in just 48 games, registering a further 11 assists in the process. It comes as no surprise to subsequently see the 20 year-old become linked with every single major club in Europe at present.
According to German newspaper BILD, Borussia Dortmund have put a minimum price tag of €150 million on the player - ahead of what is expected to be a very busy summer of negotiations and talks for the Leeds-born attacker.
BILD go on to claim that there are at least six clubs that have approached either the the player's environment and entourage, or Borussia Dortmund directly to ask about Haaland's status. However, it is clarified that there is yet to be any formal offer placed on the table.
Of those six clubs, Manchester City are believed to be one, after an exclusive report from the Mail this week suggested that officials from the Etihad had sparked 'initial contacts' with Haaland representatives. The same report also claimed that City were leading Chelsea and Real Madrid in the race for the player.
Manchester City are known to be ready to spend big this summer, specifically in their search for a top class centre-forward. The future of Sergio Aguero is yet to be decided with the Argentine's contract expiring in June, while Gabriel Jesus has been less than convincing in the eyes of some fans when starting in the lone striker position.
Along with Erling Haaland, Manchester City have also been linked with Harry Kane of Tottenham, while there have also been suggestions that they are admirers of Romelu Lukaku - although the Belgian is believed to be inclined on remaining in Serie A.
