Toronto Argonauts Trim Down List Of Pending Free Agents, Re-Sign WR Richie Sindani
Just weeks before the start of CFL free agency. The Toronto Argonauts Football Club has re-signed Canadian WR Richie Sindani.
The re-signing of Sindani comes on the heels of Toronto trading away All-Star national receiver Kurleigh Gittens to Edmonton.
Sindani, the 28-year-old veteran pass catcher, joined the Argonauts last October and played in three games down the stretch, catching eight passes for 90 yards. Sindani's experience with head coach Ryan Dinwiddie and pass-game coordinator Pete Costanza in Calgary definitely aided his smooth transition in the Six.
The 6-2, 220-pound Regina native suited up for 12 games for Hamilton last season before being released and signing with Toronto. Sindani was an eighth-round CFL Draft pick of the Calgary Stampeders in 2017 and played four seasons in Alberta, helping the Stampeders win the Grey Cup in 2018. For his career, the University of Calgary alum has 112 receptions for 1,166 yards in 75 career games.
CFL free agency kicks off in less than a month on Feb. 13. General manager Michael "Pinball" Clemons and the Argonauts' front office have their work cut out for them.

After the re-signing of WR Richie Sindani and the early release of Dariusz Bladek into the open market, Toronto now has 25 pending free agents. Many of them were starters for the record-tying 16-win Argos in 2023.
Up to this point, the Argonauts have re-signed six pending free agents: National WRs Richie Sindani & Tommy Nield, OT Isiah Cage, DB Maurice Carnell IV, OL Dillan Giffen and DB Jamie Harry.
