Switzerland Confirmed As Host Nation For Euro 2025

UEFA has confirmed that Switzerland will host the 2025 Women's European Championship.

Switzerland was chosen ahead of Poland, France and a joint bid from Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway.

As UEFA Women's Euro 2025 hosts, Switzerland will automatically qualify for the 16-team tournament.

Euro 2025 will take place over four weeks in June and July.

Matches are expected to be held in Basel, Bern, Geneva, Zurich, St. Gallen, Sion, Lucerne and Thun.

"This is a historic day for Switzerland, the SFA and women's football," said Swiss FA president Dominique Blanc.

"This major step will shape the development of women's football at all levels."

England won the previous edition of the Women's European Championship.

A record-breaking crowd of 87,192 fans watched England beat Germany 2-1 at Wembley in the final of Euro 2022.

England beat Switzerland 4-0 in the group stage of Euro 2022. Both nations will feature in the first ever 32-team FIFA Women's World Cup later this year. That tournament will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
