Ciro Immobile Taken To Hospital After Car Crash Involving Land Rover SUV And Tram

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile was taken to hospital on Sunday after a tram collided with his Land Rover SUV in Rome.

Immobile's two daughters were also said to be in the SUV, which was wrecked after the tram reportedly ran through a red light.

Several witnesses backed up Immobile's claim that the tram had failed to stop at a red light before the collision.

Lazio said in a statement: "Earlier today, following a car accident, footballer Ciro Immobile suffered a spinal distortion injury and a compound fracture of the right XI rib.
