The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022: Full List Of Nominees And Finalists

FIFA has begun to reveal its finalists for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022.

Shortlists for the eight awards were published on January 12 and voting closed last week.

Four groups voted to decide the award winners, each contributing 25% to the overall ranking. Those four groups were:

  • Media representatives
  • National team coaches
  • National team captains
  • The general public

This edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards is based on performances between August 8, 2021 and December 18, 2022, which was the day of the World Cup final.

Check out a full list of the nominees and finalists below. The winners will be announced on February 27.

The Best FIFA Men's Player 2022

  • Japan fans - Nominated for their commitment to tidying up at stadiums after their matches at the World Cup.
  • Argentina fans - Nominated for their support throughout the FIFA World Cup and for the welcome they provided in Buenos Aires when their team returned home as champions.
