Tottenham Announce Fifth Summer Signing As Manor Solomon Joins From Shakhtar Donetsk

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Israel attacking midfielder Manor Solomon from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.

Manor has agreed a five-year contract, tying him to Spurs until June 2028.

The 23-year-old, who has scored seven goals in 35 senior international appearances, already has Premier League experience, having spent last season on loan at Fulham.

Manor featured in 19 EPL games for the Cottagers, including four as a starter, and scored four goals.

He can play on either wing or as a no.10.

Manor tweeted on Tuesday: "I'm so delighted and excited to be joining this fantastic football club.

"It's truly an honour to be here and I can't wait to get started. to dare is to do!"

A tweet from his new club read: "We are delighted to announce the signing of Manor Solomon".

Manor had around six months remaining on his previous contract with Shakhtar but, according to Sky Sports, Spurs have signed him on a free transfer.

This is because of a FIFA ruling that allows non-Ukrainian players to suspend their contracts due to war in the country.

Manor is the third new player to move to Spurs this summer, after England midfielder James Maddison arrived from Leicester and Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario joined from Empoli.

But he is technically Tottenham's fifth signing of the transfer window as the club have also converted former loanees Dejan Kulesevski and Pedro Porro onto permanent deals since the end of last season.
