Hamilton Tiger-Cats Sign Five Americans, Three Receivers

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed five Americans to the roster late last week, including a trio of wide receivers.

Last Thursday was a busy day for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who added five Americans to their roster, three of whom are wide receivers. Here is the full list of players the Tiger-Cats brought onto the team.

  • WR Cameron Batson
  • WR Kaylon Geiger
  • WR Devon Williams
  • OL Brendan Bordner

Davis was most recently in the XFL with the Seattle Sea Dragons last year after spending time with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL in 2022. He went to school at Southeast Missouri State, racking up 98 tackles, eight interceptions and one touchdown in 52 games.

Batson played in the NFL from 2018 through 2021 with the Tennessee Titans, catching 22 passes for 197 yards and two scores. He also had a short stop with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022. During his college career at Texas Tech, he made 154 receptions for 1,453 yards and 14 touchdowns in 48 games.

Geiger played in three games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022. In his only season with Texas Tech in 2021, he racked up 44 receptions for 533 yards and one touchdown. He also played two seasons prior with Troy and picked up 141 catches for 1,625 yards and eight touchdowns in 23 games.

Williams signed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2022 as an undrafted free agent. He attended Oregon for two years, where he made 50 receptions for 843 yards and six touchdowns. He also previously caught four passes for 87 yards and one score at USC.

Bordner had 12 starts at left tackle for Florida Atlantic in 2022. Before Florida Atlantic, the 24-year-old offensive lineman played four seasons at Rutgers, suiting up for 41 games.

The Tiger-Cats also re-signed offensive lineman Jordan Murray earlier in the week.
