The Atlanta Falcons brought in two CFL receivers for a workout in Montreal Alouettes’ Austin Mack and Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ Tyreik McAllister.

The Atlanta Falcons worked out two CFL wide receivers Tuesday, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. Montreal Alouettes receiver Austin Mack and Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver/return specialist Tyreik McAllister both had their chance to impress the NFL team.

Mack completed his first season in the CFL as part of the Grey Cup champion Alouettes. In 17 games, Mack caught 78 passes for 1,154 yards and four touchdowns. He was named as a CFL All-Star and East All-Star.

His NFL career began in 2020 going unselected in the 2020 NFL Draft. Mack would sign with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent, eventually making the move to the team’s practice squad after preseason. The 26-year-old receiver played in 11 games for the Giants, recording seven receptions for 91 yards, including a 50-yard reception. New York would cut him at the beginning of 2021 a week after being placed in injured reserve.

He would have two other NFL stops in 2021 and 2022 for the Tennessee Titans and the San Francisco 49ers, respectively.

Mack played three seasons at Ohio State. He finished his college career with 77 receptions for 1,035 yards and six touchdowns in 33 games.

McAllister racked up 416 total offensive yards for the Tiger-Cats last season. His main job was on special teams, averaging 25.3 yards per kickoff return and 10.8 yards per punt return. He did take one missed field goal back for a touchdown.

His NFL career consists being on the Denver Broncos practice squad during the 2022 season. Denver released and he signed with the Tiger-Cats.

Before his professional career, McAllister was a star running back in college for the University of Charleston. He finished his five-season career with 2,561 yards and 26 touchdowns adding 1,47 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

This is McAllister’s fourth NFL workout of the offseason. He previously visited the New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals.
